DMCA POLICY
Soundbuttons responds to complete DMCA notices by removing or disabling access to flagged material, notifies uploaders where practical, and keeps records to handle repeat infringement — send notices to dmca@soundbuttons.cc.

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is the U.S. law that sets how copyright owners ask online services to remove infringing material. As the U.S. Copyright Office explains, the law also gives service providers safe harbors when they run a notice-and-takedown process — which is exactly the process below.
Email dmca@soundbuttons.cc with every element listed below — complete notices are reviewed fastest, and incomplete ones get delayed while we ask for the missing parts.
Your physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work; the exact URL or sound ID of the material; your contact information; a good-faith belief statement that the use is unauthorized; and an accuracy statement made under penalty of perjury.
Copyright law backs this process with real stakes — willful infringement can carry statutory damages of up to $150,000 per work under 17 U.S.C. § 504(c) (Cornell LII) — so we verify each notice before acting and never ignore one.
When a complete notice arrives, we may remove or disable access to the identified material, notify the uploader where practical, and keep the records needed to handle repeat infringement or disputes.
If your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter notice with your contact information, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury, and consent to the appropriate legal process.
Accounts or uploads associated with repeated valid infringement notices may be restricted or removed from the service. Keeping the library safe for creators depends on enforcing that line consistently.
Short answers to the questions rights holders and uploaders ask most.
Complete notices are reviewed in the order received; missing elements are the most common cause of delay.
Yes — send a counter notice with the elements above and we will review the removal decision.
